Note 2:  2019 will be the 15 Consecutive year for VK4GHL at Grassy Hill Light for the Tableland Radio Group. During this time the event has been accepted as a great local event and is supported by Cook Shire Council and the Cooktown History Centre and many visit during the weekend as the people of Cooktown are rightly proud of their lighthouse. The town brought the lighthouse from the government when they were about to shut it down and destroy it. (Well done guys. Admin.)

Note 3: Previously with the radio callsign "SFJ." She was built in 1903 by the Gefle Works and was in service until 1969, when she was decommissioned. Since 1970 she lies anchored outside the Vasamuseet at Djurgården in Stockholm and serves as a museum ship, twinkling her recognition signal: two consecutive flashes every 20 seconds. 
The Lightship FINNGRUNDET is managed by SMM (Statens Maritima Museer), The Swedish National Maritime Museums. 

Note 4: The Skagen luffing lighthouse is now a museum lighthouse and stands on the Oestre Strandvej on the northern outskirts of the city. The experts say the original lighthouse was erected in 1627. On the seesaw is hung a particularly solid basket of iron, which was filled with wood, burned and kept running throughout the night. In the following years they went over to hard coal distillery, whose flame height was lower.
These lighthouses were a great support for the sailors during this time, but they did not shine very far. A copy of the Wippfeuers was set up in Skagen in 1958, completely reconstructed in 2018 and is lit only on each Sankt Hans evening (midsummer night).
The Wippleuchtturm stood 100 years and was replaced in 1747 by the actual lighthouse, which is called the white lighthouse in Skagen.

Note 5: Note 3: Queenscliffe Maritime Museum will again participate in ILLW in 2018, at Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Victoria Australia. A number of activities are traditionally conducted in conjunction with the Geelong Amateur Radio club. These include Flag Raising, sounding of the restored 1928 Fog Horn, tours of the lightstation precinct including guided tours up the lighthouse. The radio club will broadcast from the lighthouse car park both days. All activities are conducted by Queenscliffe Maritime Museum volunteers, by arrangement with the Victorian Ports Corporation which continues to operate the Vessel Traffic Control Station, the last remaining manned lighthouse in coastal Victoria. Further information at www.maritimequeenscliffe.org.au
